Obituary

Walter M. Waggoner, 96, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Born March 5, 1928 in Columbus, Kansas, he was a son of the late Clytie Mae (Roark) and Walter Miles Waggoner, Sr. He was married to Mary (Zimnisky) Waggoner, with whom he celebrated 73 years of marriage. Walter was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church Whitehall, where he served as an usher for many years. He honorably served in the US Army from 1947-1949. He was a welder / foreman for Air Products for 35 years until retiring. Walter was an avid gardener and loved to travel.

Survivors: Wife; daughters, Diane Waggoner, AnnMarie Eckert and husband Boyd; grandson, Jonathan Eckert and wife Jennifer; several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers, Sam L. and Stanley R. Waggoner.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 9th at 10:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Allentown. Online condolences may be submitted below.
