Walter Chayka, 75, of Northampton, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Born July 1, 1945 in Northampton, he was the son of the late George A. and Marian G. (Tychy) Chayka. Walter worked and retired as a machinist at Western Electric/AT&T. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Walter was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton.

Survivors: cousins, Robert Wilkins, and Ann Marie Macrea and her husband, Barry. Walter was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy A. Chayka.

Services: A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, March 3 ^rd at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Northampton. Those in attendance will kindly be requested to practice social distancing and wear a face cover.
