Veronica J. "Pinky" Yanders, 82, of Northampton, passed away peacefully Friday, August 27, 2021. She was the wife of the late Richard H. "Dick" Yanders, who died July 28, 1995. Born December 2, 1938, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Kowalick) Gillette. Pinky was last employed at Mary Immaculate Center, working in the housekeeping department. She previously worked at Kraft Foods, Northampton Area High School, Kid's Peace, and Burlington Coat Factory. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, the Blue Army Prayer Group, and St. John Centennial Committee. She enjoyed volunteering as a Girl Scout leader and a pierogi pincher. Pinky also enjoyed polka dancing, watching the Hallmark channel, and listening to Elvis.

Survivors: daughters, Colleen Kleintop, Leah Stettler and her husband, Rick; son, Cory Yanders and his wife, Deb; grandchildren, Jill, Brandi and husband, Peter, Kirsten, Tucker, and Emily; great grandson, Jameson.

Services: Divine Liturgy will be on Wednesday, September 1st 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1343 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Wednesday 8:00 – 9:45 a.m. in Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
