Timothy P. Shanahan, 73, of Walnutport, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Inpatient Hospice Unit - Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. Timothy and his wife, Margaret "Peg" (Boyle), would have celebrated 49 years of marriage on April 15 ^th . Born September 7, 1947 in Darby, he was a son of the late Timothy J. and Margaret (Donovan) Shanahan. Timothy owned the former Clear View Optical in Lehighton. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Timothy was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife, Timothy is survived by his children, Dr. Timothy Shanahan and his wife, Karen, Vicki Weaver and her husband, Dr. Kevin Weaver, and Steven Shanahan and his wife, Deanna; grandchildren, Danielle, Steven, Brianna, Cadyn, Skyler, Bobby, Megan, Collin, and Ivy; siblings, Peg, Jim, Cathy, and Mary. Timothy was predeceased by his sister, Maureen.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 19 ^th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church, 4412 Mountain View Dr., Walnutport. Family and friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. in the church. Burial with military honors will follow in the parish cemetery. Those in attendance will kindly be requested to practice social distancing and to wear a face cover.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be presented to American Cancer Society in loving memory of Timothy. Online condolences may be offered above.
