Obituary

Thomas A. "Tom" Nagy, 74, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. Tom and his wife, Alice P. (Kohler), celebrated 53 years of marriage. Born February 25, 1947 in Northampton, he was a son of the late John T. and Theresa A. (Groff) Nagy. Tom earned his bachelor's degree in engineering from Lafayette College and worked as an engineer for most of his life. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and earned various medals for his bravery, including the Army Commendation Medal, the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was known as a true craftsman for his expertise in woodworking. There is not a family member who does not possess one of his works of labor. He passed his knowledge onto his loved ones, who will continue his works for future generations.

In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his daughter, Ginger, wife of James Beenders; son, Christopher and his wife, Kyndra; grandchildren, Riley, Katlin, Anne, Hayden, and Parker; and brothers, John A. and his wife, Sandra, and Richard D. and his wife, Barbara.

A Celebration of Life will be held this summer by the family.
