Thomas J. Derr, 61, of Catasauqua, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family. Thomas and his wife, Lori J. (Wimmer), celebrated 37 years of marriage on Nov. 9th. Born March 6, 1962, in Allentown, he was a son of the late Alton and Bernice (Klingaman) Derr. Thomas worked as a carpenter for many years. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Alaska was one of his favorite places to enjoy the great outdoors. His family meant the world to him, especially his four grandchildren.

In addition to his loving wife, Thomas is survived by daughters, Stacie Lopsonzski and husband, Anthony, and Katie Landis and husband, Andrew; grandchildren, Jaydin Riley, Charlotte Eva, Jakob Thomas, and Nicholas Thomas; siblings, Robert Derr and wife, Candi, Deborah Rizzotto and husband, Thomas, Patricia Hunger, and Mark Derr; and nieces and nephews.

Services: A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 26th at 11:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in loving memory of Thomas and his nephew, Timmy Hunger. Online condolences may be offered below.
