Theresa C. Schwartz, 94, of Slatington, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2021 at her son, Richard's Maryland home, with family and close friends at her side. She was the loving wife of the late Edward L. Schwartz, who passed on January 8, 2013. She was born July 2, 1926 in Northampton and was the daughter of the late Alois and Theresa (Kiss) Deutsch. Theresa worked at the Coplay Cigar Factory and as a sewing machine operator at the D&D and Durable Clothing Factories, prior to marrying. She then became a devoted wife and a loving mother with purpose. Theresa was a faithful Catholic who belonged to the Queenship of Mary Church in Northampton. She was always generous and welcoming, loved gardening, loved her family, and was always there to serve family unselfishly. Theresa loved her sisters and Austrian heritage with happy accordion music, dancing, and singing.

Survivors: sons, Edward S. Schwartz and his wife, Fay, of Lancaster; Richard F. Schwartz and his wife, Katie, of Frederick, Maryland; grandchildren, Lori, wife of Eric C. Sheetz and Edward J. Schwartz and his wife, Stephanie; step grandchildren, Simon and Grace; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Andrew Sheetz, step great-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Nick. Theresa was predeceased by her daughter, Annette P. Schwartz on April 11, 1988; and one sister, Mary T. Stampf on August 12, 2020; loving sisters, Paula Gogel and Hilda Bankos and many favorite nieces and nephews.

Private services are under the direction of Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton.
