Susan L. Young, 59, of Northampton, passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2023. Born September 23, 1964, in Northampton, she was a daughter of Herbert and Nancy (Lange) Smith. Susan was employed as a teacher for Nazareth School District for 33 years. She was a member of Zion Stone Church in Kreidersville. She enjoyed spending time at her beach house in Beach Haven West, clamming, boating, kayaking, beaching, and entertaining. "On a personal note: Don't cry because I'm gone but remember me with smiles and laughter. When you hear a song, think of me. I was blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. I will miss you all but know I'm looking down on you with smiles."

Survivors: companion, Dennis Rehrig; brother, Mark Smith and wife Lisa; nephews, Kyle and Colin Smith; a niece, Alyssa Smith; sister-in-law, Susan Smith; Dennis's children, Christopher and wife Melanie Rehrig, Megan and husband Cory Snyder; grandchildren, Sawyer, Lincoln, Abigail, Derek; her four-legged companion, Izzy, and many friends who have helped her throughout the last few years. She is predeceased by a brother, Steven Smith.

Services: Family and friends may gather on Friday, January 12th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in Zion Stone Church, 51 Church Road, Northampton. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Interment will be private.
