Stephen M. "Shtip" Frisch, 70, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Corliss E. (Griesemer), who passed away on May 29, 2016. Born December 11, 1952, in Northampton, he was the son of the late Stephen M. and Rose M. (Geosits) Frisch. Stephen was a 1971 graduate of Northampton High School. After graduating and serving in the U.S. National Guard, he followed in his father's footsteps and began a career in the cement industry rising to production coordinator at Lafarge North America Inc. in Whitehall before retiring. Stephen was a member of Queenship of Mary Church. Stephen was a life member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 454 and a member of the St. Peter and Paul Society.

Survivors: sons, Stephen M., III and John M. and his companion, Sarah; sister, Lucille Sommers and husband, Greg; sisters-in-law, Dianne Missmer and husband, Richard, and Jeanette Hammel and husband, Alfred; and a niece, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 1 ^st at 10:30 a.m. in Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may gather Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Monday morning from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the American Lung Association in loving memory of Stephen. Online condolences may be offered below.
