Stephen J. "Boyse" Nemeth Jr., 61, of Cementon, passed peacefully on January 24, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg ICU, surrounded by his family. He was married to his loving wife and best friend, Jodi (Albertson) Nemeth, for 39 years. Raised in Cementon, he was the son of the late Stephen and Theresa (Henits) Nemeth. Stephen worked in the billboard industry for FKM and retired from Adams Outdoor Advertising in 2011. He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton. He was the President and caretaker of the Cementon Park for many years. He was also a member of the Whitehall Township Recreation Commission and continued to be a vital part of the longstanding Cement Belt Fair. Many knew him as "Coach Steve" over the numerous years of coaching at Cementon, Triboro, OLH, Whitehall, and Hokey. He was a dedicated and passionate man to his family and his community. He shared a special love and a beautiful life with his wife, Jodi, their two daughters, Nicole & Katie, and his son-in-law, Chris. Steve's biggest pride and joy were his grandkids, Ty & Mya.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Nicole Nemeth and her fiancé, Robert Taniser, of Whitehall, Kaitlyn (Nemeth) Dawson and her husband, Chris, of Cementon; brother, Anthony Nemeth, of Cementon; two adored, loved, and spoiled grandchildren, Ty and Mya Dawson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Marybeth and Stephanie Nemeth.
Services: The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27 th in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 st St., Northampton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28 th in Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton, followed by burial in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to Good Shepherd Catholic School in loving memory of Stephen. Online condolences may be offered below.
