Stephen F. Marsch Jr., 79, of Northampton and formerly of Cementon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem. Born January 13, 1945, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Stephen F. Sr. and Pauline S. (Biss) Marsch. Stephen was a 1964 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. He continued his education at Allentown Business School, where he earned an associate degree in accounting. Stephen had several employers over the years including, the former Hess's Department Store, Allentown Kitchens Inc., and Stuyves Insurance Co. in Allentown. He retired in 2004 from Air Products, where he worked as an accounting assistant. Stephen honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member and past commander of the Catholic War Veterans Post 454. Stephen was a lector, eucharistic minister and choir member at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church.
Survivors: many cousins. He was predeceased by his long-time companion, Helen Filipovits.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 7th at 10:00 a.m. in the Assumption BVM Church, 22nd St. and Washington Ave., Northampton. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Franciscan Brothers of the Holy Cross, School Sisters of St. Francis, or the church memorial fund in Stephen's memory. Online condolences may be offered below.
