Obituary

Stanley Teply, 94, of Vienna, Mo, went to be with the Lord on October 7, 2016. He was born on June 2, 1922 in Strusiv, Ternopilska Oblast Ukraine to Stefan and Anna Teply. His wife of 65 years, Stephania, predeceased him in 2012. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Roman and son-in-law, Frank Toth.

He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Beth Teply of Scottsdale, AZ, daughter, Irene Toth of Gravois Mills, MO, and granddaughter, Allyson Teply of Scottsdale, AZ. Stanley was raised in Strusiv and during WWII was taken to Germany as a forced laborer. After the war he met Stephania and they were married in the displaced person camp in Velbert, Germany. They emigrated to the U.S. and resided in Brooklyn, NYC, Newark & Edison NJ, New Tripoli, PA and Gravois Mills & Vienna, MO. Stanley was employed and retired from Western Electric Kearny Works in New Jersey. Stanley was an avid gardener and enjoyed raising fruits and vegetables. He was very proud of the scholastic achievements of the children and granddaughter. He was a member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Northampton, PA and while he lived in Pennsylvania, he and Stephania loved making delicious pyrohy as she was a member of the church Sisterhood

Services: Burial Service will be Wednesday, October 19th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Andrew Memorial Church, 280 Main St., South Bound Brook, NJ. Family and friends may call Wednesday 10 - 10:30 a.m. in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton. Online condolences may be submitted below.
