Sandra Ann (Schiehle) Lopisz passed away at home in the arms of her husband on September 11, 2025. Sandra was born in Riverside, N.J. to Paul W. Schiehle and Verna G. (Shetler) Schiehle in 1943. She graduated from Riverside High School and went on to work at Public Works in Burlington. While working there she was set up on a blind date and met her future husband, Adam. They married in 1966 and moved to Levittown, PA to raise their family.
Sandy attended hundreds of softball, baseball, soccer, and ice hockey games over the years to support her kids. She also was a Girl Scout leader, a Boy Scout mom, and volunteered at the Lutheran Church. She went back to school and earned her associate's degree from Bucks County Community College. She went back to work at NJ Manufacturers to help put her kids through college.
Sandy loved to read, go for walks by the river, hold hands, go on picnics, go camping, Washington Crossing State Park, travel to National Parks (especially Acadia in Maine), the Phillies, cooking for her family. Sandy and her family took many trips throughout the US, including touring the New England states, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone the Grand Tetons, Yosemite and other sites in California. She also enjoyed trips to Disney World.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 59 years, Adam, her daughter Linda and son Mark, grandchildren Kelly, Patrick, Kate, Megan, and Ty, her sister Verna DeWald and brother Paul and his wife Josie, her nieces Cindy Shemansky (Paul), Nancy Wagner (Joel), Lynne Szymanski (Dave), and Joanne Dewald (Pat), and brother-in-law David Lopisz
Sandy was predeceased by her parents, her sister Joan Wright, niece Verna Newsome, and brothers-in-law Richard Wright and Francis DeWald.
The family would like to thank Shinka, Jolene and the other ladies who helped us take care of Sandy during these last years.
