Ruthann M. Schwartz, 78, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 23, 2022, in Parkland Manor, Allentown, with her daughters by her side. Born on January 2, 1944, in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Rose (Schubert) Moyer. Ruthann was preceded in death by her husband, David, in 2020. She was a graduate of Whitehall High School. Ruthann was the owner of "Catering by Ruthann Inc." for over 30 years. She managed the cafeteria at the Jewish Day School and was well respected by her clients and community. Ruthann was a devoted Catholic and member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Stiles. She loved music, especially 50's rock 'n' roll and country. She enjoyed taking walks, playing cards, watching Family Feud, crafting, aqua aerobics, and helping others. She danced to the twist, polka, jitterbug, and calypso. Ruthann was an avid animal lover and adored her family dogs. Her passion was cooking and baking for her family and friends.

She had a great love for her family. She is survived by daughters, Julie Schwartz, Jennifer Hughes and husband, Shawn; and granddaughters, Molly and Morgan.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 1 ^st at 10:30 a.m. in the church, 3024 S. Ruch St., Whitehall. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass in the church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's and Dementia Foundation, Peaceable Kingdom, or Red Rocks Rescue in loving memory of Ruthann.
