Ruth Weitknecht, 88, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth. She was the wife of the late Alfred W. Weitknecht. Born March 27, 1934, in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Kusel) Rabenold. Ruth was a bus driver with the Northampton School District for 12 years. She was a member of the former Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Northampton. Ruth was a founding member and emeritus board member of the Northampton Historical Society.

Survivors: sons, Glenn and wife, Rachel, Keith and wife, Holly; daughter, Gail Genora; grandchildren, Adam, Kyle, Adeline and Amelia.

Services: A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, June 22 ^nd at 11:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Allen Union Cemetery, Northampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the Northampton Area Historical Society or Northampton Area Public Library in loving memory of Ruth. Online condolences may be offered below.
