Ruth M. Frisch, 83, formerly of Walnutport passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth surrounded by her loving children. Born September 22, 1933 in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Frank S. and Mae E. (Mann) Oplinger.

Ruth worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation for several years. In later years, she worked at Sacred Heart Hospital for 18 years. Ruth was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville. As an avid reader, she enjoyed volunteering at Northampton Area Public Library for many years. Ruth loved to knit and crochet, often making afghans for charitable organizations.

Survivors: daughter, Roslyn R. Scott; sons, Rob R. Frisch, Renny R. Frisch and wife Barbara and Rustin R. Frisch; 6 grandchildren; brother, Wayne F. Oplinger and wife Joanne. Ruth was predeceased by son, Randall R. Frisch and sister, Lois J. Andrews.

Services: Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 17th at 11:00 a.m. in Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Dr., Cherryville. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Kreidersville.
