Robert W. Kurtz, 85, of Coplay, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. Robert and his wife, Veronica (Bodnar), would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on Oct. 26 ^th . Born in Stiles on March 30, 1936, he was a son of the late Albert and Haiti (Yost) Kurtz. Robert graduated from Coplay High School in 1954. He worked as a cutter at the former Cross Country Clothes. Robert was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. Robert was an avid Phillies and Notre Dame football fan and a polka aficionado, who claimed to have listened to every polka song.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by sons, Jeffrey Kurtz and James Kurtz; grandchildren, Nicholas (Kirby) Kurtz and Jessica (Kolby) Ciecwisz; and great grandchildren, Taran and Kellen Kurtz. Robert was predeceased by his brother, Albert, and sister, Hilda.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed., July 28 ^th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 4 So. 5 ^th St., Coplay. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the church or Coplay American Legion in loving memory of Robert. Online condolences may be offered below.
