Richard W.
Kropf
Feb 16, 1951 — Nov 5, 2023
Richard William Kropf, 72, of Northampton, passed away on November 5th, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving wife of 49 years and their 3 beloved children. He was the son of the late Charles and Louise (Trankley) Kropf of Coplay. He fought a strong battle to cancer and was extremely proud to ring the bell three times during the past year. He received his bachelor's degree from Penn State University and obtained his 50-year pioneer pin and medal from the PSU alumni association earlier this year. He will be remembered for his love of all Penn State sports, the Phillies and Villanova basketball. He belonged to several local social clubs and enjoyed golfing with friends at Blue Ridge and Iron Lakes. His greatest joy came through spending time at home by his pool with family. Rich worked as marketing representative and then manager at Blue Cross of Lehigh Valley for over 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, husband of Bethany from Rowlett, Texas, and Jack, husband of Judy from Coplay. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughter, Victoria of Northampton; son, Eric, husband to Patricia of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Suzanne Buffington, wife of Michael of North Catasauqua; and three precious grandsons, Wesley, Charles, and Luke.
