Richard D. Haas, 84, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, in his home surrounded by his family. Born on February 13, 1938, in Allentown. He was a son of the late John and Anna (Helko) Haas. Richard and his wife, Patricia (Follweiler), celebrated 59 years of marriage together. He attended Central Catholic High School. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was employed in maintenance at LaFarge Cement Company for 35 years. He was a member of the Grace UCC, Northampton. In addition, he was also a member of the Petersville Rod and Gun Club, Alliance Fire Co., and past Commander of the Northampton VFW. Richard enjoyed fishing, bowling, cooking, and going on many vacations with his family. His smile was contagious and loved life.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by daughters, Donna Stark and husband, Craig, Tricia Gallagher and husband, Patrick; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Lisa, grandson, Alex, brother, John, and sister, Bernadine, preceded Richard in death.

Services: Funeral services will be private.
