Obituary

Patricia Ann Clater, 81, of Allen Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Born February 4, 1941 in Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Anna (Wargo) Schlegel. Patricia was married to W. Eugene Clater, with whom she shared almost 53 years of marriage. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, working with her indoor and outdoor plants and having conversations and gatherings with her many friends. She especially enjoyed traveling in the U.S, mainly as a loyal Dolphins fan, having gone to many home and away games, from coast to coast. She also enjoyed her several trips to Hawaii & Europe but always regretted never getting to "the Lands" (Ireland & Scotland), all of which became difficult or impossible due to dealing with debilitating COPD (thanks to years of smoking early in her life) as well as esophageal dysphasia, both of which conspired to end her life here on earth.

Survivors: Husband; daughter Nicole Clater; and a sister-in-law Wilma Schlegel, along with several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother Robert Schlegel.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, or the American Lung Association in memory of Patricia.
