Nancy K. Novogratz, 90, of Northampton, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Edward R. Novogratz. Born July 29, 1932, in Northampton, she was the daughter of Ralph and Lottie (Krause) Fogel. She was predeceased by her siblings, George Fogel, Janet Bilyk, and Joan Kolumber. While raising 5 children, she supported her husband as a Tax Collector and was elected to the office herself as well. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend. Her home was a gathering place for family, friends, and musicians. She enjoyed an active and robust social life. Her beloved "8 Ball Club" friends were part of her life for 75 years. Her volunteer "career" included Queenship of Mary Church Choir, Meals on Wheels, and Sacred Heart Hospital for which she received the President's Volunteer Service Award. She was active in the Business and Professional Women of Northampton and was a member of DAR.
Survivors: daughters, Barbara Novogratz Nolan and husband, Liam, Susan T. Daniels and husband, Scott, and Kathryn E. Novogratz; sons, Edward F. Novogratz and David Novogratz and wife, Marie; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 8 th at 10:30 a.m. in Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 st St., Northampton, and Wednesday morning from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the Children's Home of Easton, 2000 S. 25 th St., Easton, PA 18042, or the Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 2811 Moyers Ln., Reading, PA 19605, in loving memory of Nancy. Online condolences may be offered below.
