Obituary

Monica M. Paukovits, 88, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. Monica and her husband, Frank J. Paukovits, would have celebrated 70 years of marriage this May. Born December 10, 1937, in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Katherine (Milander) Lizak. Monica was a graduate of Northampton High School in 1955. She was employed by several companies over the years, including Western Electric, Hess Bros., and Tama Manufacturing. She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. Monica also volunteered with the Northampton Fire Police, where her husband, Frank, served as an active member. She supported the organization by providing baked goods and helping with their bingo fundraisers.

In addition to her husband, Monica is survived by her daughter, Sandra Greener and husband, Anthony; son, Daniel and wife, Janice; daughter-in-law, Patti Paukovits; grandchildren, Jessica Rubin and husband, Evan, Kate Colquitt and husband, Jeffrey, Kurt Paukovits and wife, Karen, Kelly Woodbridge and husband, Brendan; and Emily Paukovits; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Baby Frank and Timothy Paukovits; and siblings, John Lizak, Stephen Lizak, Catherine Neupauer, Mary Makovsky, Bernadine Stangl, and Anna Bucha.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 21st at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter RC Church, 4 So. 5th St., Coplay. Family and friends may gather on Saturday morning from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
