Mildred D. "Millie" Emerick, 89, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2023, in the Renaissance Home, Northampton, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Charles G. Emerick. Born June 27, 1933, in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Gancaz) Smolick. Millie went to beauty school in Philadelphia. She then worked as a hairdresser at Kristie's in Allentown for many years. She was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church. Millie was active with Young at Heart and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing bingo, taking trips to the casino, and going on yearly trips with her family.
Survivors: daughters, Sandra Miller and husband, Thomas, and Donna Vidumsky and husband, Michael; son, Theodore and companion, Tina Bowen; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Smolick; and several nieces and nephews. Millie was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey, two brothers, and a sister.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 13 th at 11:00 a.m. in Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem. Family and friends may call Friday from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 st St., Northampton. Interment will follow in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery, Northampton. Online condolences may be offered below.
