Michaelene P. Flegler, 82, of Nazareth, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem surrounded by her loving family. Michaelene and her husband, Arthur J., celebrated 64 years of marriage. Born April 13, 1938 in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Cecelia (Bishop) Shellock. Michaelene was a 1955 graduate of Northampton High School. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband, Michaelene is survived by her daughter, Marie, wife of Rob Brungard of Catasauqua; sons, Thomas and wife, Kim, of Nazareth, and John and wife, Pam, of Catasauqua; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Sylvia V., wife of Joseph Malozi of Bethlehem, Genevieve A. "Jean," wife of Peter Keschl and Elizabeth Smith all of Allentown, Marylouise Shellock of Bethlehem, and Eileen M. Shellock of St. Louis, MO; brother, Rev. Bro. Boniface Joseph John Shellock of Springfield, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Michaelene was predeceased by her sister, Rheta and her husband, Elmer Botteon, and brother-in-law, John Flegler and his wife, Charlotte.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 15 ^th at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 410 W. Center St., Nazareth. Family and friends may call Monday from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. in Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Interment will be private. Those in attendance will kindly be requested to practice social distancing and wear a face cover.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be presented to American Cancer Society in loving memory of Michaelene. Online condolences may be offered above.
