Mary S. (Mitzi) Jany, 86, of Northampton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the home of her son, Frank E. Jany, with whom she resided. She was surrounded by her family. Mary was the loving wife of the late Frank S. "Pete" Jany. Born March 5, 1930 in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Pauline (Unger) Kulovits.

Mary worked for Universal Pants Co., J.J. & F. Sportswear and Tama. She was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary and St. Peter and Paul R.C. Sick & Beneficial Society in Northampton. Mary was also a member of the Slovene National Benefit Society.

Survivors: sons, Frank E. Jany and wife Michele of Northampton, John A. Jany and wife Suzanne of Coplay, and Timothy E. Jany and wife Nichole of Slatington; 7 grandchildren, Christopher, David, Jordan, Alexandria, Jonathan, Jocelyn and Timothy; 5 great-grandchildren.

Services: Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 20th at 10:30 a.m. in Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton.
