Martha Denes, 82, of South Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2023, in Cedar Crest Post Acute Hospice Center. Born on May 19, 1940, in Szentpeterfa, Hungary, she was a daughter of the late Kalman and Elizabeth (Varga) Seregelyes. Martha and her late husband, Frank Denes Sr., began their journey together in Hungary. Martha was a sewing machine operator for Phoenix Clothing for many years in addition to being a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, and was an avid gardener. She was a member of St. Stephen on Hungary Catholic Church.

Survivors: son, Frank Denes, Jr; daughter, Susan Siegel; brother, Peter Seregelyes and wife, Sylvia; grandchildren, Nicole, Christina, Nathan; great-grandchildren, Kurt, Khloey, Kairi, Steven, Silas; and niece, Julie Kreibick and husband, Brian.

Services: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 6 ^th at 11:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton.
