Mark J. Kusmider, 62, of Allen Township, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born May 4, 1964, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Onderko) Kusmider. Mark and his wife, Cheryl (Eichner), celebrated 40 years of marriage. A 1982 graduate of Dieruff High School, he worked as a Control Room Operator for Northampton Generating Co. for 26 years. He was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, the Raccoon Club, and the Tri Boro Sportsman Club, and he was an avid fisherman, hunter, and carpenter. 

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Mark is survived by his daughters, Krystle Cross and her husband, Robert; Laura Kusmider and her companion, Devan Wilson; and Erika Loukas and her husband, Nicholas; grandchildren, Kailee, Kinzlee, Aanya, Nicholas, and Sophia; sisters, Elizabeth Stofko and her husband, Joseph; Emily Williams and her husband, William; and Kathleen Madeya and her husband, Martin; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Reagan, and his beloved dogs, Kodi and Cooper. 

Services: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, at Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the service begins. Interment will be private. 

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
