Marilyn A. Vrba, 87, of Whitehall, PA, died July 31, 2021. Born April 30, 1934, in Schuyler, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret (McCready) Hespen. She was married to Thomas T. Vrba on August 18, 1958. Marilyn was a 1951 graduate of Schuyler High School. She worked as a cashier in the Pocono Mountains High School cafeteria. Her greatest joy was the many kids she worked with every day. She would see them later in life around the community and think of them as lifelong friends. In retirement, she traveled with her husband by motorhome through the U.S. making many friends along the way. For over 30 years, they wintered in Tucson, AZ enjoying line dancing, the desert and hiking the Santa Rita Mountains.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, daughters, Mary Jo Vrba of Allentown, PA, Jolene Jespersen and husband, Ed, of Dayton, OH, Nancy Madden and husband, Warren Madden, of Whitehall, PA; son, Michael Vrba of Colorado; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Joseph (June) Vrba, her first husband, sisters, Margaret, Ellen and brothers, Donald, Leo, Gerald, Floyd, and Walter.

Private services are under the direction of Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton.
