Obituary

Marilyn "Jean" (Bonser) Piskula, 86, passed away peacefully early on Sunday morning, March 16th, 2025 at LVHN – Muhlenberg, with her family by her side. Born on August 4, 1938 in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Erma Bonser. She worked at Aetna in her later years until retirement. During her earlier years, she enjoyed sewing quilts for her family and crocheting doilies. Marilyn also enjoyed camping with her travel trailer. While home, she enjoyed bike riding all around the neighborhood and going to the public pool. She was married to Thomas G. Piskula for over 62 years until his passing in 2021.

Survivors: children, Charlene Duckworth and husband Lawrence C., Connie Markulics and husband Craig, Michael Piskula and wife Donna, and Jonathan Piskula; grandchildren, Kyle and Holley Piskula and Erin Markulics; and a sister, Sandra Sillers. She is predeceased by a sister Karen F. Steigerwalt.

Services: Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 27th at 10:30 a.m. in the Gnaden Huetten Cemetery, 440 So. 4th Street, Lehighton. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton. Online condolences may be submitted below.
