Maria A. Jimenez, 86, of Catasauqua, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at home. Born October 22, 1938, in Havana, Cuba, she was a daughter of the late Ñico Jimenez and Margarita Fernandez. Maria worked in the housekeeping department at Muhlenberg College for over 20 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Allentown. Maria enjoyed cleaning, sewing and embroidery. She was very active and had a full social life. Her family meant the world to her. She was the glue keeping her family connected. Maria will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her loving companion, Luis Durand, Maria is survived by her children, Elizabeth Ferrer, Robert Ferrer and wife, Ellen, and Michael John Durand and wife, Lauren; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Olga Jimenez.

Services: A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 noon in the church. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Allentown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Maria's memory. Online condolences may be offered below.
