Mahlon T. "Pep" DeLong, 88, of Walnutport, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital, Easton Campus. Born May 24, 1933, in Upper Macungie, he was a son of the late Roy and Edna (Stofflet) DeLong. Mahlon worked at Bridesburg Foundry Co. in Whitehall for many years. Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of Front Street Tavern, Catasauqua. Mahlon was also a licensed clown with his longtime companion, Jeanne. They were known as "Peppy" and "Jellybean."

Survivors: companion, Jeanne Lunsford; sons, Richard and wife, Sharon, James and wife, Sue, and Robert; daughter, Rona; and sister, Millie Vitovitch and husband, Phil.

Services: Graveside service will be held on Monday, Feb. 14 ^th at 10:30 a.m. in Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall. Family and friends may call Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Online condolences may be offered below.
