Louis M. Konya, Sr., 91, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Louis, fondly known as (Dill) by his loved one's, was from Northampton, PA, but lived the last four years of his life in Potomac Falls, VA, with his son Louis M. Konya, Jr. He was the husband of the late Irene Konya, who died October 14, 2012. Born November 30, 1925 in Northampton, he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Kovatch) Konya.

Louis worked in the sales and parts department of Allentown Brake & Wheel for many years. He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton. Louis honorably served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and he was a life member of the Catholic War Veterans Post # 454, Northampton.

Survivors: daughter, Jeanne, wife of Robert Smith; son, Louis Konya, Jr. and his wife Mary Lou; 3 grandchildren, Tara, wife of Ted Reynolds, Janina, wife of Daniel Callahan and Matthew Konya, and his wife Sarah; 4 great-grandchildren, Case Callahan, Collin Callahan, Katherine Reynolds and Carter Reynolds.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 15th at 10:30 a.m. in Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Thursday 9 - 10:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Burial with military honors will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton.
