Louis J. Kurtz, Sr., 73, of Northampton, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He was the husband of the late Wanda M. (Kratson) Kurtz. Born Nov. 30, 1947, in Northampton, he was the son of the late Louis S. and Hermina A. (Grabner) Kurtz. Louis was the previous owner of Beer Co. in Allentown. From 1968 to present, he worked at Mack Trucks as a Vehicle 2 Hoodline Committee Rep. Louis was a member of Queenship of Mary Church. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed listening and dancing to music.

Survivors: his life companion, Marge Burns; daughter, Jennifer Kurtz; grandson, Tristan Rodriguez; and sister, Monica Frantz and husband, Niles. Louis was predeceased by his son, Louis, Jr. and sister, Rita Molnar.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 21 ^st at 9:30 a.m. in the church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Friday night from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
