Louis W. Klucharich, 81 of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 17, 2021 in his home with his family by his side. Born on January 16, 1940 in Coplay, he was a son of the late Louis F. and Mrytle (Sechler) Klucharich. Louis and his wife, Dorothy (Dulac) celebrated 57 years of marriage together. He was a graduate of St. Peter's Elementary School, Allentown Central Catholic High School, and Moravian College. He was employed for 27 years as a manager for General Electric/Black and Decker and for 18 years was the owner of Yesterday's Restaurant in Coplay. Louis honorably served our country in the National Guard for several years. He was a devoted member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Coplay where he served on the church's finance and facilities committees for a number of years. In addition, he was a member of the American Legion, American Club of Coplay and the Coplay Saengerbund. Louis was an avid Penn State fan and lover of all Philadelphia sports teams. He especially enjoyed baseball and was a player for the Coplay Legion baseball team when they won the state championship in 1957-58. He also played on the 1962 Moravian College baseball "Hall of Fame" team.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Louis is survived by his children, Louis and wife Donna, James and wife Lori, Michael and wife Cynthia, Jennifer Liguori and husband Kyle; 9 grandchildren; sisters, Jo-An, Kathy, Anita; brother, Greg and several nieces and nephews.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 22 nd at 10:00 a.m. in the church, 4 S. 5 th St., Coplay. Family and friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday morning from 8:15 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 st St., Northampton. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Coplay. Online condolences may be offered below.
Memorials: Contributions may be made to the church in loving memory of Louis.
