Lois I. Smith, 85, of Allentown passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2016 in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Smith. Born May 23, 1931 in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Marian (Cartwright) Freeman.

Lois attended the University of Pennsylvania and continued on at Robert Packer School of Nursing in New York. She worked as a registered nurse at Haff Hospital and Northampton Hospital. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Northampton. Lois was also a member of the Northampton Fire Police.

Survivors: son, Ronald Smith and wife Michele of Northampton; daughter, Sharon Esther Smith of Allentown; grandson, Joshua Smith; and brother, Larry D. Freeman and wife Valerie of Watkins Glen, NY.

Services: Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st Street, Northampton. Family and friends may call Wednesday 10 - 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
