Obituary

Lance H. Nothstein, 56, of Bethlehem, passed away on May 4, 2021. He was born August 9, 1964. Son of the late Harlon and Melba (Koch) Nothstein. Lance is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 29 years, Debbie Cesanek-Nothstein. Lance graduated from Northampton Community College and Thomas Edison University with a master's degree in Engineering and Aviation Sciences. He was also a certified flight instructor and a pilot for U.S. Air Express and a captain for Flexjet flying all over the world. Lance will be remembered for his kindness, gentle voice, and he was a true friend to anyone that was fortunate to know him. Always a smile and a helping hand. Lance loved airplanes and started flying at the age of 12. His passion for airplanes led him to an appointment at the Air Force Academy. In addition, he loved books and always had one close by. Lately, one of his passions was antique cars, which he owned three.

Surviving is his spouse, Debbie Cesanek-Nothstein; mother-in-law, Jeanette Cesanek and predeceased father-in-law, Robert Cesanek, Sr.; sister-in-law, Susan Koren and husband, Gregory; brothers-in-law, Robert Cesanek, Jr. and wife, Staci, Richard Cesanek and wife, Debbie, Kevin Cesanek and wife, Bekky; a predeceased brother-in-law, Michael Cesanek and wife, Jodi; nine nieces and nephews; and two grand nieces.

Services will be private.
