Katherine Bauer, 92, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. She was born in Michigan but lived in Northampton since she was two years old. She was the daughter of the late Anna (Weslock) and Joseph Bilder and married to the late Frank J. Bauer for over sixty years. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Hungary (now Queenship of Mary) Church and worked for over thirty years at Western Electric. She was known as mom, nana, and "Aunt Kathy" to many people—including some she was not related to. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, and son, Joseph. Survivors include children, Lois (Grace), and Jeffrey, who was her longtime caregiver; grandsons, Jason and Joby; their spouses, Virginia and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Logan, Elizabeth, and Nicholas; her brother, Donald Bilder; beloved sisters-in-law, Anna and Fern; and many nieces and nephews.

Services: A graveside service will be held on Monday, Feb. 21 ^st at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in loving memory of Katherine. Online condolences may be offered below.
