Joseph A. Alban, 90, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was the husband of the late Frances I. (LaMoria) Alban. Born in Hazleton, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph A., Sr. and Mary (Pecone) Alban. Joseph retired from Air Products and Chemicals Inc. and honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Joseph was a trustee of Lehigh Carbon Community College and a former school board member of Whitehall-Coplay School District. He was a faithful member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Coplay. Joseph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His family was his most prized possession.

Survivors: sons, David Alban and wife, Susan Ondish, and Ralph Alban; daughters, Anette Velekei and husband, John, and Diane Alban Knotek; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Alban; sister, Marie Ann Wilfing; and several nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his son, Joseph A., III, and brother, Ralph.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 18 ^th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 4 So. 5 ^th St., Coplay. Family and friends may call Monday from 8:00 to 9:15 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Entombment will follow with military honors at Resurrection Cemetery, Allentown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to St. Peter's Church in Coplay in loving memory of Joseph. Online condolences may be offered below.
