John J. Schneider, 82, of Northampton, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg surrounded by his wife and daughters. Born on August 5, 1939, in Northampton, he was a son of the late John E. and Marie (Kyra) Schneider. John and his wife, Patricia (Lalik), celebrated 52 years of marriage together. He was a graduate of Northampton High School. John was employed as a safety inspector for Western Electric, AT&T, Lucent Technologies retiring in 1998. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Marines Corps Reserves. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Northampton, where he volunteered with the pierogi project. He also was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, John is survived by daughters, Michelle Hirsch and husband, Karl, Denise Schuon and husband, Mark, Lisa Mazzie and husband, Joseph; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Mark Jr., Kristin, Brandon, Kyle, Evan, Jonathan, Anna, Stephanie, Karly. Brother, Frederick; sisters, Lorraine Yapsuga, Elaine, Rosalie Schneider, preceded John in death.

Services: A Divine Liturgy will be held on Saturday, January 22 ^nd at 10:30 a.m. in the church, 1343 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. with Parastas at 10:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
