John F. Schlofer, 77, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. John and his wife, Sharon G. (Hoover), celebrated 56 years of marriage on April 27th. Born August 1, 1946, in Allentown, he was a son of the late Frank and June (Schubert) Schlofer. John honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was the owner of Schlofer Auto Body in Catasauqua. In addition to his wife, John is survived by his sons, Michael and wife, Linda, and Mark and wife, Lucy; grandchildren, Olivia, Mason, Noah, and Molly; brother, Frank Schlofer and wife, Fran; sister, Sharon Temos and husband, Larry; and several nieces and nephews.
