Obituary

John E. Godiska, 88, of Nazareth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Alexandria Manor, Nazareth. John was the husband of the late Catherine (Morykan), who passed away in 2017. Born October 16, 1935, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Ernest and Anna (Cesanek) Godiska. John honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as an electrician for Mack Trucks Inc. John was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He loved coaching baseball and football, even after his two boys continued on. The New York Yankees were his favorite team to watch. John enjoyed tending to his yardwork and could always been seen waving and smiling from his John Deere tractor.

Survivors: sons, Edward and his wife, Alice, and Daniel. John was predeceased by his sisters, Anna and Rosie.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 5th at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 410 W. Center St., Nazareth. Family and friends may call Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
