Joan Marinkovits, 79, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Country Meadows of Bethlehem. Joan was the wife of the late Walter A. Marinkovits. Born December 29, 1942, in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late John, Jr. and Anna (Stetch) DeLucia. She graduated from Northampton High School. In her early years, she worked at Cross Country Clothes, was a member of the Northampton Zoning Hearing Board and the Planning Commission. She then became a Real Estate Broker working for Patt-White Realtors, ReMax of Whitehall and then Marinkovits Realty. In 1992, she became a Magisterial District Judge Court No 03-2-07 in Northampton Borough for 18 years and then became a Senior Magistrate in 2010, until retiring in 2015. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, the Northampton Exchangettes and the Northampton County Magistrate Association. She was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton. Joan was a member of the Red Hat Society and started the Roxy Red Hat Social Club. Joan loved to travel with her husband traveling several times to Europe and enjoyed going on cruises, especially to Alaska and Russia.

Survivors: son, Walter J.; daughter, Mary Schnoke; grandsons, Tyler and Daniel; and sister, Nancy Rice.

Services: Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 25 ^th at 10:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call Sunday night from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
