Jerome J. "Jerry" Yankowy Sr., 75, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. Jerry and his wife, Beverly (Boruch), celebrated 54 years of marriage on January 17th. Born July 17, 1948, in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Stephen W. and Margaret (Kimak) Yankowy. Jerry attended Allentown Central Catholic High School. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Jerry was a member of the Catholic War Vets. Post 454, American Legion Post 367-Fullerton, and the 11th Armored Cavalry Veterans of Vietnam & Cambodia (Blackhorse). Jerry worked as a drywall finisher for various contractors through the Local 1269. He was a member of St. John Fisher Church.

In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by son, Jerome J. Jr.; daughter, Jacqueline Yankowy Albus and husband, Patrick; grandsons, Aidan and Chaise Albus, Noah Yankowy; sisters, Donna Lentz and Stephanie Bechtel and husband, Ronald; brother, Dennis Yankowy; and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was predeceased by daughter-in-law, Nadine, and brother, Timothy Yankowy.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 21st at 11:00 a.m. in St. John Fisher Church, 1237 3rd St., N. Catasauqua. Family and friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. in the church. Entombment with military honors will follow in Assumption BVM Cemetery, Northampton.
