Obituary

Jerome T. Bartholomew, 83, of East Allen Township, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, in St. Luke's Hospital. Born on April 10, 1938, he was a son of the late Alfred K. and Velma S. (Stewart) Bartholomew. Jerome and his wife, Helen (Tanzos), celebrated 55 years of marriage together. He was employed as a pressman for various companies throughout his career, retiring from Rob-Win Press in Allentown.

Jerome was happiest when he was outdoors. He loved nature and was a bird enthusiast. You could always find him in one of his workshops building, fixing, inventing, or improving something. He loved live music and cherished his collection of mixed tapes. He was always whistling. He was a great dancer, and would polka or waltz with his wife or daughters whenever he had the chance. He loved a good conversation and could relate to anyone. Jerome was extremely funny and left his family with many stories that will keep them laughing for years.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Jerome is survived by daughters, Audrey Bartholomew, Suzanne Ballek and husband, Rich, Jane Bartholomew, Christine Dunham and husband, Scott; grandchildren, Sarah, Laura, Andrew, Jason, Nicholas; brothers, Daniel and Joshua; sister, Jacqueline Markulics; and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Josephine Bierly, and a brother, Alfred, preceded Jerome in death.

Services: Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Thursday, April 14th at 12:00 p.m. at The Phoenix, 515 W. Mauch Chunk St., Nazareth. Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton are in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be offered at below.
