James R. Betz, 78, of Allentown, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021. Born August 6, 1942 in Allentown, he was a son of the late Edward S., Sr. and Anna (Sokasits) Betz. James honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in South Vietnam. He worked as a laborer at the former Modern Clothes.

Survivors: brother, Timothy J. and his wife, Irene; nieces, Michelle and Erica; and nephew, Scott. James was predeceased by his brother, Edward S., Jr. and sister, Phyllis Suranofsky.

Services: A prayer service will be held on Monday, June 14 ^th at 10:00 a.m. in Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Burial will follow in Allen Union Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered below.
