Obituary

Jack L. Ivey, 75, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2024. Born May 13, 1948 in La Porte, IN, he was a son of the late Harland and Doris L. (Hewitt) Ivey. He was the husband of Carol (Malecek) Ivey. Jack earned a BA in Classical Studies and Latin (Indiana University, Bloomington IN); M.Div (Eden Seminary, St Louis); and MFA (DeSalles University). He was a Latin Teacher in La Porte, IN for 2 years; Project Manager for Amana Refrigeration for 17 years; a Pastor for First Congregational UCC in Charles City, Iowa for 7 years; and later retired after 6 years from Zeigel's Union Church in Breinigsville. He was a member of Longswamp UCC Church.

Survivors: Wife; Daughter, Nicki Ivey and husband Matt; grandchildren, Donovan, and Devyn; brother, Tom Ivey and wife Donna; sister-in-law, Nancy Malecek; nephews, Brian Ivey, Jacob and John Neubert.
