Isadore (Izzy) Weiner, 92, of Whitehall passed away peacefully Thursday, April 20, 2017 in the Phoebe Home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Dorothy J. (Groller) Weiner who died August 4, 2016 and they were married for 62 years. Born October 22, 1924 in Northampton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Brozonski) Weiner.
Isadore worked in the family Bakery for over 42 years and he also worked at the Universal Atlas Cement Company. He was a member of the Congregation Keneseth Israel of Allentown. Isadore honorably served his country in the United States Navy during WW II. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans of America, Allentown and the Veteran of Foreign Wars post #4714, Northampton.
Survivors: daughters, Joette Everist (Rob) of SD, Ellen Knauss (Dennis) of Whitehall, son, Alan Weiner (Lisa) of Walnutport, grandchildren, Kelly, Brittney, Ryan, Samuel, Julianna, Robyn, Tyler and Ellie. Isadore was predeceased by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Services will be held Sunday, April 23rd at 3:00 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St. Northampton. Family and friends may gather Sunday 1 - 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Keneseth Israel Cemetery, Allentown.
