Irene C. Stranzl, 89, of Coplay, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Adolf Stranzl. Born April 15, 1932, in Whitehall, she was a daughter of the late John and Cecelia (Yost) Wechsler. Irene worked as a seamstress at Northampton Dress and Tama Manufacturing. She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay. Irene was also an active member of the Coplay Seniors, Northampton Seniors, Young at Heart, and the Coplay Saengerbund. She loved to spend time crocheting and baking for family and friends.

Survivors: daughters, Linda Boandl and husband, David, and Nancy Bock and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Amy, Courtney, Kimberly, Joshua, Kyle, Bradley, and Brittany; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen; and brother, Ronnie. Irene was predeceased by her brothers, Eddie and John.

Services: Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 7 ^th at 1:30 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21 ^st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in loving memory of Irene. Online condolences may be offered below.
