Irene Dranchak, 97, of Northampton passed away peacefully Monday, October 24, 2016 at home surrounded by her son, Dennis, Peggy and caregiver, Jezyna "Agnes". Irene was the wife of the late Basil Dranchak who died June 3, 2005. Born November 27, 1918 in Cementon, she was the daughter of the late Wasko and Mary (Jayosky) Malast.

Irene worked at the former D&D Shirt Factory for many years. She was a member of St John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton. Survivors: son, Dennis and his companion, Peggy, granddaughter, Nicole, great grandchildren, Bennett and Kennedy Anne and sister, Olga Yerk of Allentown.

Services: Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 27th at 10:30 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Family and friends may call Thursday 9:30am - 10:30am Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
