Stempo
Aug 23, 1948 — Aug 11, 2021
Hope Stempo, 72 of Northampton, crossed the rainbow bridge from home into our Lord's loving arms on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, after a year and a half struggle with mucosal melanoma. Born on August 23, 1948 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Betty Crouthamel. Her last weeks were spent in the loving care of her sister Elena Ryerson and housemate Anita "Nikki" Kotoris. Hope grew up in Forks Township attending and graduating from Easton Area High School. She was a master of detail, lovingly restoring furniture and religious items. From a 100-year-old crucifix to a simple wine rack, no detail was overlooked. Before her health became a challenge, she loved playing golf only to have that become a TV sport these last few years. Hope was an ardent Eagles n Penn State Football Fan. Her radiant smile and crystal blue eyes welcomed whoever she encountered with enthusiasm and care. Hope was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Northampton.
Survivors: In addition to her sister Elena and husband Ron, and housemate Nikki, Hope is survived by her daughters, Trenace and husband Stephen Caserta and Michelle Stempo. Hope always had time for friends but mostly time for her grandchildren Hope, Halee, Brielle, Braedon and great grandson Maddix. She is also survived by a niece, Lori and husband Todd Mains; nephew, Daniel and wife Rev. Jennifer Ryerson and great nieces and nephews.
